Bottles with maps thrown overboard (toolkit launch)

On March 21, 2020, we launched our Toolkit on Digital Facilitation Methodologies. An agile response to all the chaos that the first wave of the pandemic provided us.

From the solutions studied to serve our customers, we have built a thesis. It helped us to provide deep and existential reflections on how to apply our experience in facilitation and co-creation in a digital way, through innovative, efficient and humanized approaches.

Once again, we assume and practice the “sharing is caring” mantra. In other words, the best value generated is that which is shared. What could be seen as a trade secret or a competitive advantage was shared at the same time, just when people, partners and customers were most likely to need it.

How to deal with the endless calls that have taken our routines? How to differentiate engagement levels and commitments for each session? What is an update and leveling routine, what is a planning meeting and what is co-creation in fact? What are the best tools and approaches for each need?

And it was in order to explore these questions that we launched our Toolkit!

It is necessary to learn to sow while navigating.

We were one of the first B companies to respond to the call to add, on the Interdependence20 platform, content that could be useful to the Brazilian impact ecosystem, such as good support practices for the construction of a survival strategy and resumed after the first wave.

Today, 1 year later, we have more than 2,000 downloads on our website, plus countless shares in networks of creative, entrepreneurship and business clubs such as: SP Planning Club, Companies B, Miami Ad School, Sesi /RS e do IEL/RS (report on the Rock Night Podcast ) …

An intense learning arc in those 365 days

One of the formations we have and celebrate a lot is that of Kaospilot, which has in its roots the proposal not only to prepare its students for the future, but also to be part of its creation.

His pedagogy is based on a (chaotic) dynamic that involves the aspirations of the parties involved. Its principles include experimentation to build new learning, exploration of trends and fields of personal/professional interest, experience and reflection in real contexts and entrepreneurship as a way of empowering the parties to focus on new learning journeys.

In such an unpredictable year, we saw this thesis and our methodological hybridism being applied in several opportunities, contexts and challenges that only enrich this learning arc, through:

  • Strategic business sprints
  • Brand positioning plans
  • Strengthening / integrating stakeholder networks
  • Updates on institutional purposes and alignment of causes
  • Educational experiences
  • Design of methodologies for generating Colabs between brands
  • Theories of Change
  • B certification preparation days
  • Digitization of strategic conventions
Kaospilot learning arches

We move on, open to new learning and new possibilities to put ourselves at service.

Exactly 365 days after the launch of the Toolkit, we ended our first international project to assist the Chilean Ministry of Transport in preparing the participatory strategic planning of the National Long-Term Plan for Sustainable Urban Mobility. A partnership with GIZ (gracias Victor) and the Chilean company Plataforma Áurea, from our dear companion Claudia Acevedo, with the special participation of Lara Martins.

Altogether, there were more than 15 projects for brands, companies, NGOs and governments, adding up to almost 70 sessions facilitated in this period.

In such a hard and suffering context, we place ourselves at the disposal of our partners and customers to host fields of interaction that allow the parties involved to level knowledge, build common views and instruct leaders in building strategies that generate value for the brands involved, society and, mainly, taking care of the people present in each of the processes.

Because it is from the evolution of our way of taking care of each other, with clear intentions and with the most appropriate tools and approaches, that we will build results that are more consistent with the spirit of the time.

New maps, new tools, new journeys

We will need more and more of these security fields and adequate tools to face a new long season of the effects of the pandemic and its effects on our organizational, cultural and operational realities.

For all these reasons, we will soon update the Toolkit material with more tools, tips, learnings and frameworks developed by Decah throughout the workshops that have been facilitated 100% in the digital environment.

Always forward.

Take care.
